The building will remain occupied and used by airport staff, the BLM and the Center of Excellence, as well as the general public. Scope of Work: Provide all permitting, licensing, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, labor and supervision necessary to remove the existing broadloom carpet and baseboard. An awarded vendor shall be responsible for preparing the subfloor, furnishing and installing new carpet tiles, and new baseboard. Other Requirements: The awarded vendor shall remove existing carpet, baseboard, transition strips, and adhesives, and shall prepare the floors to have new carpet tile installed, install new transition strips and baseboard. The new carpet shall be installed following all the best modern-day building and flooring practices. The awarded vendor shall be responsible for alerting the County about any unsatisfactory subfloor conditions and may be asked to make recommendations to fix unsatisfactory subfloor conditions. The awarded vendor shall only use trained flooring technicians to perform the installation of all carpet installation work, conforming to all state and local codes and regulations governing the trades included in this work. The awarded vendor shall use manufacturer recommended adhesive to install the baseboard molding and transition strips. The awarded vendor shall take special care in removing the existing wall base and carpet so as not to tear or damage the finished drywall. The awarded vendorshall be responsible for repairing any damage caused by the contractor to the satisfaction of the County. The awarded vendor, upon completion, shall supply the Airport with 10% (ten percent) of the quantity placed of each material used, including but not limited to, adhesives, transition strips, baseboard, and carpet tiles, for future repair or replacement. Extra carpet material shall be of the same lot as the material place so as to ensure uniformity. The completion date for floor replacements will be October 1, 2025 term of that contract will be July 7, 2025 through December 31, 2025.
