Renovation of a water / sewer project in Brick, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The scope of the Project includes the installation of new natural gas services, new natural gas generators, removal of the existing diesel tanks and diesel generators, the removal and replacement of existing automatic transfer switches, replacement of electrical services, and restoration of areas disturbed during the construction of the Project. The proposed work is located; The project sites are located within Brick Township. Brick Township is 32.22 square miles and has a population of approximately 73,620 persons (United States Census Bureau). The Project sites are located at the following addresses in Brick Township: o Riverside Drive North Pump Station - 219 Riverside Drive North o Drum Point Road Pump Station - 616 Drum Point Road o Bay Harbor Boulevard Pump Station - 138 Bay Harbor Boulevard Each prospective bidder will have to provide the appropriate installation references and certifications to the satisfaction of the Owner. Bid Details: All bids must be enclosed in sealed, specially addressed envelope bearing on the outside the name and address of the bidder and work bid upon. All envelopes should be sent to the attention of the Engineering Department. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid or a maximum of $20,000.00; such certification to be without condition or qualification, and the check made payable to The Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority. Each bid must also be accompanied by a Consent of Surety, properly executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey or permitted individual and shall be attached to the proposal. All bidders shall be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-6.2, requiring each bidder and each subcontractor to formulate and submit to the proper authorized representative of the State the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development an affirmative action program of equal opportunity which guarantees minorities employment in all employment categories. The bidder is a corporation, a partnership or a limited liability company, the bidder, in conformance with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, shall submit with his bid a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders in the corporation who own 10 percent or more of its stock, of any class, or of all individual partners in the partnership who own a 10 percent or greater interest therein, or of all members in the limited liability company who own a 10 percent or greater interest therein, as the case may be. This contract or subcontract is subject to the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-3, 4, 5, 9 and 10. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 et. seq. for the participation of small business enterprises Back owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDs). The Contractor and all subcontractors will be required to comply with the SED Utilization Plan developed by Brick Utilities for fulfilling SED requirements. The Project shall conform to the Local Public Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. The bid receipt date will be at least thirty (30) days after the advertisement date; addenda notices will be provided no less than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted, prior to the bid receipt deadline. Brick Utilities reserves the right to waive any minor informalities or non-material exceptions/defects in a bid. Brick Utilities reserves the right to reject any bid containing a material defect(s) and further reserves the right to reject all bids under any circumstances set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2.
