Question Deadline 06/19/2025 at 12:00 PM CT The Districts e-bidding system allows for the submission of questions to the buyer handling this solicitation. This is the preferred method of communicating questions related to the solicitation. All vendors invited to participate in the solicitation or respond to the solicitation will receive notice of any questions and answers submitted through the e-bidding system. The identity of the bidder submitting the question(s) is not viewable by other bidders. Bid proposals from qualified suppliers for the Frisco Campus University Hall Re-roof. Collin College is requesting proposals to complete the Frisco Campus University Hall Re-roof. Option 1: Modified Bitumen Roof Areas - Base Bid Modified Bitumen Roof Areas - Deductive Alternate #1 Option 2: Standing Seam Metal Roof Areas - Base Bid Standing Seam Metal Roof Areas - Deductive Alternate #2 Standing Seam Metal Roof Areas - Deductive Alternate # Collin College is requesting proposals to complete the Frisco Campus University Hall Re-roof. Option 1: Modified Bitumen Roof Areas - Base Bid Base bid tear of existing roof assembly down to metal deck. Remove all existing metal copings, roof edge, gutter, etc. Remove all existing lightning protection, store, and reconnect lightning protection upon completion of new roof per qualified lightning protection contractor's requirements. Install new roof system consisting of 2 layers of 2.2" polyisocyanurate insulation, first layer mechanically attached, and second layer fully adhered. Install new fully adhered 1/2 " high density cover board. Install new 80 mil Thermoplastic membrane to be fully adhered. Provide all required flashing and pipe penetration assemblies for new 20 year no dollar limit (ndl) warrantied roof system. Provide new prefinished metal copings, roof edge, gutter, downspouts, and other metal fabrications required for flashing, counterflashing, through-wall receivers, and penetrations. All new counterflashings, receiver, and expansion joints to be stainless steel unless visible from the ground. Provide and install new roof hatch. Modified Bitumen Roof Areas - Deductive Alternate #1 Leave existing modified roof system in place. Fully adhere new 1/2 " high density cover board 4'-0" x 4'-0" size. Ensure that cover boards are weighted once set in adhesive until adhesive has cured. Install new fully adhered fleece-backed Thermoplastic membrane to new cover board. Provide new prefinished metal copings and roof edges, as well as new underlayment beneath new copings and roof edges. Install new counterflashings and address drain targets / remove and reinstall clamping rings to provide watertight system. Provide new base flashings, curb flashings, and pipe penetration flashings as required. Option 2: Standing Seam Metal Roof Areas - Base Bid Tear off existing metal roof and insulation assembly down to metal deck. Remove all existing gutters and lining of internal gutters. Clean existing drain bowls and drain lines to ensure water is flowing freely with no clogs or obstructions. Install new roof system consisting of 1 layer of 2.2" polyisocyanurate insulation and second layer of composite 2.2" polyisocyanurate insulation with integral substrate board. Install hightemperature ice and water shield membrane and new prefinished metal standing seam roof system with all required gutter, fascia, metal edge, and downspout components. Provide snow and ice guards around perimeter of metal roof areas. System to be installed per requirements to achieve 20 year ndl warranty. Standing Seam Metal Roof Areas - Deductive Alternate #2 Leave existing standing seam metal roof system in place. Install new 2.2" polyisocyanurate insulation board with integral substrate board on top of existing standing seam metal roof, mechanically fastened. Slot polyisocyanurate as required to fit over existing standing seam ribs and sit flush on existing metal roof panels. Provide new high temperature ice and water shield underlayment and new prefinished standing seam metal roof system. Abandon internal gutter system and install new outboard gutters with downspouts returning to existing drain lines. Seal connections from new downspout to existing drain line with 'no hub type' fitting with sealant. Reinstall prefinished metal shroud and seal around downspout entry points and all corners / seams / etc. Provide new ridge, valley, rake edge, etc. Detailing as required to achieve 20 year ndl watertightness warranty of system. Standing Seam Metal Roof Areas - Deductive Alternate #3 Leave existing standing seam metal roof system in place. Remove clips fasteners at leading edge / eave of standing seam metal roof at internal gutter. Remove existing deteriorated ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (epdm) gutter material from gutter. Install new 80 mil fleece backed PVC membrane into gutter, fully adhered. Adhere membrane minimum 12" up beneath existing standing seam metal roof panels. Reattach panels with oversized fasteners to ensure positive connection / watertightness. Install new stainless steel termination bar and sealant at leading edge of gutter on vertical surface to conceal visibility of new PVC membrane
