The demolition and reconstruction of the sidewalks along Edison Street and E Bessemer Street from N Hall Rd to Pistol Creek Greenway Trail east of the Hall Community. The purpose is to bring the pedestrian travel route to ADA/PROWAG standards. As shown in the design plans. BIDS shall be accompanied by a cashier's or bank check or BID Guarantee BOND in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the BID made payable to the City of Alcoa, Tennessee, OWNER, and subject to the conditions provided in the INSTRUCTION FOR BIDDERS. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, each bond. The project herein described is to be completed within Ninety Calendar (90) days from the date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). If additional time is supported for procurement of materials, the Contractor and City will determine NTP date on when materials will be received. Liquidated damages for delay of completion of contract will be in accordance with the Agreement (Contract). The OWNER reserves the right to waive any irregularities or reject any or all bids. Bid date description: Regardless of the mode, the Bidder shall be responsible for the early delivery of their bid. Mailed or hand-delivered bids should be in a sealed envelope and labeled "Edison St & E Bessemer St Sidewalk Upgrades, RFB 25095, Bid Enclosed". The subject line of e-mailed bids shall state the same.
