The bids shall be for the performance of all manpower, labor, tools, materials, equipment, ladders, lifts, transportation, supervision, licenses, bonds and insurance certificates necessary to prune thirty (30) trees, remove fifteen (15) trees and stumps, and grind nine (9) additional stumps located at the California School for the Deaf, Riverside (CSDR). All works shall be in accordance with plans and specifications as described in Exhibits A, B, C, D, E, and F. A 5% "Small Business" preference will be granted to bidders properly approved in accordance with Section 1896 et seq., Title 2, California Code of Regulations. Applications for preference must be submitted to, and approved by, the Department of General Services, Procurement Division - Office of Small Business and DVBE Services located at 707 Third Street, 1st Floor, Room 400, West Sacramento, CA 95605, (916) 375-4940. The Contractor shall be required to provide a payment bond, Payment Bond to Accompany Construction Contract Form Std 807 (see Attachment 3), in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price involving a bid in excess of $25,000. A Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) must accompany every contract involving a bid in excess of $10,000 and if progress payments will be made.
