DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of the renovation of Spaulding Field. Located immediately east of the Wasserman Football Center, Spaulding Field currently consists of two artificial turf, 60-yard practice fields oriented west to east. With UCLA's move to the Big Ten Conference, the football team will play on opposing teams' fields with natural grass, creating a need for a natural grass practice field. The project will renovate approximately 160,000 square feet of practice space to create a natural grass, full 100-yard field oriented north to south and two smaller artificial turf practice fields oriented west to east. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: A License (General Engineering) Contractor shall remove the existing turf, provide a new irrigation and drainage system for the grass field, and provide artificial and natural grass on the fields. To be allowed to submit a bid, Bidders must have the minimum experience set forth in the Prequalification Questionnaire contained in the Bidding Documents and posted on the UCLA Online website.
