The Project Will Further Develop Approximately 82 Acres of Land Along North Donahue Drive in Auburn, Al to Enable the Construction of a New High School. The Package Will Include Asphalt Paving to the Binder Layer and All Associated Subgrade Improvements, Installation of Curb and Gutter, Storm Drainage Installation, and Sleeving for Future Utility Infrastructure to Prepare the Site for Development of the New High School to Be Constructed at a Later Date. The Project is Bordered to the North and East by the 100-year Flood Plain of Saugahatchee Creek Which Will Be Modified and Permitted Through Fema as a Part of the Site Development. Due to the Project's Proximity to Saugahatchee Creek, Control of on-site Erosion and Sediment Discharge to the Surrounding Drainage Basin Will Be a Critical Piece of the Project. A Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Payable to Auburn City Schools, in an Amount Not Less Than Five (5) Percent of the Amount of the Bid, but in No Event More Than $10,000, Must Accompany the Bidder's Proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and Evidence of Insurance Required in the Bid Documents Will Be Required at the Signing of the Contract. Only General Contractors and Sub-contractors Intending to Bid a Portion of the Work Under a General Contractor Who Have Been Approved to Bid Pursuant to Pre-qualification Procedures and Criteria Established by the Owner Will Be Eligible to Bid the Project. The Deadline for Submission of Pre-qualification Documents is 5:00 Pm Cst, August 19, 2025. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Proposals and to Waive Technical Errors if, in the Owner's Judgment, the Best Interests of the Owner Will Thereby Be Promoted.
