Site work for a transportation facility in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is seeking a contractor to provide surface preparation and maintenance coating (re-painting) of various exterior steel components (columns, cross beams, canopy ceilings, canopy supports, benches etc.) located at its 620 Cherry Street transit hub facility. Contractors should have the capacity to comply with industry standards as published by the SSPC and NACE International. DART may award all or part of the bid, with partial awards contracted at different times to align with the budget. Contracts subject to the Davis-Bacon Act are generally required to pay at least the applicable minimum wage rate required under Executive Order 14026 or Executive Order 13658. Please note that these Executive Orders apply to covered contracts entered into by the federal government that are subject to the Davis-Bacon Act itself, but do not apply to contracts subject only to the Davis-Bacon Related Acts, including those set forth at 29 CFR 5.1(a)(1). DART reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, in whole or in part, to advertise new quotes, to abandon the need for such, and to cancel this Informal Competitive Solicitation at any time prior to the execution of a written contract. All questions must be submitted in writing to awaltz@ridedart.com no later than June 16, 2025, at 10 AM and answers will be shared will all apparent bidders June 19, 2025, at 10 AM.
