The bidding requirements and contract documents may be examined at the Centre County Airport Authority office during regular business hours. Bid security shall be payable to the Centre County Airport Authority in the amount of 10% percent of the bid price and in the form of certified or bank check or a bid bond issued by an acceptable surety and executed by the bidder. Bid bond will be returned to unsuccessful bidders if requested. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. Attention is called to the following: ^Contractor must ensure that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the bidding requirements and contract documents must be paid on the project. *Contractor(s) must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. *Contractor(s) must verify employment eligibility in accordance with the "Public Works Employment Verification Act" as a precondition to being awarded public work. Bids may be held by the Centre County Airport Authority for 60-days after the day of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and evaluating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid before the expiration of such 60-day period. 30-day extensions of the date of the award of this contract may be made with the consent of the owner and the lowest responsible bidder. The Centre County Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities. Completion- 84 calendar days A. General: this project consists of the repair of five or more sinkholes that have developed within existing stormwater management basin A owned and operated by the Centre County Airport Authority (CCAA) upon their property adjoining the State College Airport in Benner Township, Centre County, PA, and the subsequent installation of an impervious geomembrane liner. Stormwater management basin A is located at the terminus of Alexander Drive off Fox Hill Road. B. Land Area, Ownership & Access: The existing stormwater management basin lies on property owned in fee simple by the CCAA.
