Demolition and site work for a multi-residential development in Clinton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a two-story above grade multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
This Project Consists of Demolition of the Two-story, Multi-family Apartment Building, Existing Utilities Have Been Disconnected and Access to the Building is Clear and Unob Structed on All Sides, Environmental Remediation Including Asbestos and Lead Paint Will Be Needed. Bid Bid Security Shall Be Submitted With Each Bid in the Amount of Five (5) Percent of the Bid Amount in Ac Cordance With Clause 9 Bid Guarantee of the Instructions to Bidders. The Bid Guarantee Shall Be a Certified Check or Bank Draft Payable to the Order of the Dewitt County Hous Ing Authority or a Satisfactory Bid Bond Executed by the Bidder and an Acceptable Surety A Performance Bond, Sep-arate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a Form Acceptable to Owner Will Be Required of the Success-ful Bidder. In Accordance With Clause 10 Assurance of Completion of the Instructions to Bidders, and Prior to the Execution of Any Contract, the Successful Bidder is Required to Furnish and Pay for Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds in a Penal Sum of 100 Percent of the Contract Price. The Owner Requires All Contractors and Vendors Doing Business With the Owner Not to Discriminate Against Anyone on the Basis of R the Basis of Race, Age, Color, Religion, Gender Nder, Sexual Ori-entation, Ancestry, Non Job-related Handicaps or National Origin Dewitt County Housing Authority Intends to Award One Contract on the Basis of Lowest and Most Responsible Bid for All Work to Be Performed and Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any and All Bids, and to Waive Any and All Infor Malities in the Bidding, After Receipt of Bids and Completion of the Review Process, Dewitt County Housing Authority May Award a Contract to the Bidder That, in Its Opinion, Will Provide a Combination of the Best Services and Reasonable Cost. The Successful Bidder Must Be Prepared to Begin Work Immediately Upon Notification of Award. Attention is Called to the Provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity and That Payment of Not Less Than the Mini Mum Salaries and Wages as Set Forth in the Specifications Must Be Paid on This Project. Any State Rate That Exceeds the Corresponding Federal Rate is Inapplicable and Shall Not Be Enforced All Bidders Shall Submit With Each Bid, the Con-tractor's Affirmative Action Certification to Comply With the Provision for Equal Employment Opportunity. (Atten-tion is Directed to the Special Equal Opportunity Provisions as in the Supplement to the Instructions to Bid-dessetnort the General Conditions Representations Certi Fications and Other Statements of Bidders, Form Hud 5369-a Previous Participation Certification, Form Hud-2530; Form of Non-collusive Affidavit, and a Schedule of Subcontractors, if Applicable, Shall Be Submitted With Each Bid. All Bidders Must Sign and Submit All Forms in Specification Section 00 6005 Including the Section 3 Clause and Section 3 Assurances. Contractors Awarded a Contract Must Comply With Hud's Reglilations in 24 Cfr Part 135, Which Implements Section 3 All Bidders Shall Thoroughly Examine and Investigate the Project Documents and Existing Project Site(S) to Deter-mine Existing Site and Project Conditions, Additional Costs and Payment Shall Not Shall Not Be Awarded to the Contractor for Existing Conditions That Can Be Determined by Carefully Ex-amining the Site and Project Documents. Bids Will Be Held Good for a Period of Sixty (60) Days Subse- Quent to the Opening of Bids. The Bid Guarntee Shall Ensure the Execution of the Contract and Furnishing of a Method of Assurance of Completion. Failure to Submit Bid Guarantee With the Bud Shall Result in Rejection of the Bid. No Bids May Be With-drawn for a Period of 60 Days After Opening of Bids. Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Informalities and Irregularities.
