The Town Board of the Town of Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin, by This Resolution, Adopted by a Majority of the Town Board on a Roll Call Vote With a Quorum Present and Voting and Proper Notice Having Been Given, Resolves and Orders as Follows: The Town, via the Town Board, is Authorized to Enter Into a Public Contract With a Responsible Bidder, as Defined in Wisconsin Statute 60.47(1), With an Estimated Cost For the Public Contract to the Town of Baraboo Greater Than $25,000. The Town Board, by This Resolution, Establishes and Provides Notice of the Following General Bid Specifications, the Conditions for the Bid, and the Proposed Public Contract: 2025 Town of Baraboo Highway Improvement Projects. The Town Board Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids Submitted for the Public Contract Without Any Basis, and Without Disclosure for Cause. The Proposed Public Contract Will Not Be a Town Road Improvement Project Under Wisconsin Statute 86.31, for Which Specific Criteria and Procedures Apply for Contracting With Any County. A Performance Bond in the Amount of 100% of the Total Bid Price and a Certification Of Insurance, Along With an Executed Contract With the Town of Baraboo, Will Be Required of the Successful Bidder. Relocation of Utilities, Including Power, Internet, or Phone Cables, Gas- or Liquid-carrying Lines, Junction Boxes and Other Physical Structures, and Any Other Public Asset In the Highway Right-of-way Shall Be Completed by the Utility Company or Government Entity Owning Said Assets; It Shall Be the Responsibility of the Contractor to Contact The Utility Company or Government Entity to Arrange to Have the Assets Relocated in A Timely Manner. The Contractor(S) Shall Be Prequalified by the State of Wisconsin, Department Of Transportation to Perform the Work on the Bid Price Prior to Submittal of Its Bid. Unless Supplanted by Specific Provisions, All Contracting Procedures and Materials Supplied Under the Proposal Shall Conform to All of the Following: The Standard Specifications for Highway & Structures, 2025 Edition, and All Subsequent Revisions for the Wisconsin Division of Highways, Department of Transportation.
