DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The Project consists of replacing seven (7) existing fire hydrants assemblies with new fire hydrant assemblies; fully removing two (2) existing fire hydrant assemblies; adding three (3) new fire hydrant assemblies; and connecting all new fire hydrant assemblies into City of Hominy's Water System within the Osage Nation's Hominy Village. The primary work elements ("the Work") includes but is not limited to the following: Provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to replace existing fire hydrant assembly, including lateral branch connection, with a new fire hydrant assembly for fire hydrants that were determined qualified for replacement. The completed Work will also require pre-construction field verification with City of Hominy staff for all selected existing fire hydrants and verification of water system isolation valve locations; complete disconnection and removal of selected existing fire hydrant assemblies; cap existing tee at existing fire hydrant assembly disconnection location; construction and installation of new fire hydrants assemblies; connection of new fire hydrant assemblies to existing water main; pressure test and disinfection of new fire hydrant assemblies; full removal and proper disposal of replaced fire hydrant assemblies; and post construction cleaning. Additional details of the Work are provided in the Contract Drawings. Proper construction phasing will be required for this project to minimize interruption of water service to all affected customers located within and outside Hominy Village. Approval of Successful Bidder's construction schedule will be required prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. CONTRACT TIME: The Work shall be completed no later than one hundred and eighty (180) Days after the commencement date. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, which shall be deposited with the Procurement Officer as a guaranty; RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: The Nation specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, or re-bid, or to waive inconsequential deviations from the bidding requirements not involving time, price, or quality of the Work.
