The proposed project provides for the design and erection of a New 100,000-gallon legged elevated water storage tank for Evadale WCID No. 1, including tank design and construction of a new EST shall be in accordance with the latest AWWA requirements and all applicable standards. The proposed elevated water storage tank is to be constructed at the existing site, located on CR 849. Specifically, the District intends to conduct the following improvements: 1. Construct a New 100,000 gallon AWWA, legged welded steel elevated water storage tank, including wet riser, testing, surface preparation, coating, sterilization, ladders, vent, balcony, landing platforms, confined space placards, access ways, fittings, piping, valves, overflow, obstruction light, antenna rail, conduit, wiring, and other appurtenances, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. 2. Construct the reinforced concrete foundation for the new elevated storage tank, including design, construction, excavation, backfill all in accordance with the plans and specifications. 3. Install approximately 8" DI drain line including excavation and backfill, connection to the tank and tank drain, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. 4. Connect the 8" DI fill/outlet line from the new elevated water storage tank to the existing water line form the pump building, including all connection to the existing water line, fittings, valves, testing, excavation and backfill, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. 5. Site improvements including fencing, drainage swale, disposal of all construction debris, concrete splash pad for the tank overflow and tank drain, silt fencing, final site grading and replacing all damaged San Augustine sod, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. 6. Provide electrical installation including all equipment, grounding, conduits and conductors, connections to equipment and control equipment and all appurtenances, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. Additive Bid Items: 1. Painting Logo on two (2) sides of the elevated storage tank furnishing all materials, equipment, tools and labor for designing, and painting logos all in accordance with the plans and specifications. 2. Provide for the installation of Illumination for both logos, two (2) per logo. Including all labor, material and equipment to install the illumination fixtures all in accordance with the plans and specifications. Question Deadline 06/17/2025 at 5:00 PM CT Each request for clarification shall be made in writing to the Grant Recipient or engineer no less than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening. Special Requirements and Clarifications 1. The Contractor shall restore the work route to its original condition or better prior to acceptance by the Owner/EWCID#1. 2. The Contractor shall contact the owner Ms. Amber Deal (EWCID#1) at (409) 276-2030 prior to starting any work within the project area. 3. Any changes in quantities will be addressed by change order and will have to be approved by the Owner before any work can be done. 4. All excess materials removed during the course of the project will have to be properly disposed of by the Contractor in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations.
