Renovation of a service station / car wash facility in Everett, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility.
It is the intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a design/build contract which will result in completed facilities of commercial quality and that will operate efficiently and without unreasonable architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical failure or deficiency throughout the expected life of the facilities. The selected Contractor's design and construction meet this intent. Project Location: NAVSTA Everett, 2000 W Marine View Dr, Everett, WA 98201 NAVBASE Kitsap, 120 S. Dewey St, Silverdale, WA 98315 Project Magnitude: The magnitude for the NAVSTA Everett project is 1,800,000 to 2,260,000.00. Project Magnitude: The magnitude for the NAVBASE KITSAP project is 3,800,000 to 4,220,000.00. Project Description: The Fleet Recreation Center, at NAVSTA Everett in Everett, WA is a multi-functional facility providing food service, grab and go food service, dining, laundry facilities, entertainment activities, and a training room area. The facility is a modular structure that has had several additions over the years as new functions were added to the building. When the additions were constructed, there was limited area for the site, so the layout of the existing building was not efficient for all the functions the facility provided. A major repair of the facility will address short comings in structure, fire protection, life safety, functional efficiency and provide more enhanced spaces to accommodate sailors in the future. The project scope of work includes full architectural, structural, food service, MEPF, and Life Safety of the existing 5,184 square feet facility including decks and new accessibility ramp to meet the functional requirements of the Fleet Recreation Center. The work for this project, excluding new accessibility ramp, will be limited to the existing footprint of the structure. The facility will remain a temporary structure. The project site is on the pier. 1. The work includes but is not limited to all demolition, relocation, temporary construction and restoration necessary to produce a complete and useable facility a. Site Development: The facility is a temporary facility placed on an existing pier. There will be no modifications to the pier and the repairs will be consistent with a temporary facility. Contractor to develop the site plan for the project and engineering design of all site work and site utilities to construct a complete and usable facility. b. Fleet Recreation facility: Complete architectural design and full engineering design of all mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil elements required to construct the facility in accordance with all codes, laws, and requirements and in accordance with Section C1.C. below. c. Construction: Construct all work in accordance with the codes, laws, Installation Appearance Plan, and requirements governing NAVSTA Everett in Everett, WA. The Fleet Recreation Center, at NAVBASE Kitsap in Bremerton, WA is a multi-functional facility providing coffee bar, made to order food service, grab and go food service, dining area, laundry facilities, entertainment activities, and a training room area. The facility is a concrete structure in good repair, the systems are dated and require updating to meet current building code and design standards. There is a need for an addition to the space that will add externally accessible restrooms and an expansion of the existing atrium space. A major repair of the facility will address short comings in mechanical systems, security systems, fire protection, life safety, functional efficiency and provide more enhanced spaces to accommodate sailors in the future. The project scope of work includes full architectural, structural, food service, MEPF, and Life Safety of the existing 5,560 square feet facility The combined additions of external restrooms and atrium addition are approximately 850 square feet (15% increase). The project site is across from the carrier pier. 2. The work includes but is not limited to all demolition, relocation, temporary construction and restoration necessary to produce a complete and useable facility a. Site Development: Contractor to develop the site plan for the project and engineering design of all site work and site utilities to construct a complete and usable facility. b. Fleet Recreation facility: Complete architectural design and full engineering design of all mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil elements required to construct the facility in accordance with all codes, laws, and requirements and in accordance with Section C2.C. below. c. Construction: Construct all work in accordance with the codes, laws, Installation Appearance Plan, and requirements governing NAVBASE Kitsap in Bremerton, WA. Proposals over this amount may be considered unacceptable. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
