The Imperial County Department of Public Works Office Building is experiencing temperature and humidity control issues. A site investigation was carried out with facility personnel on 9/3/2024. As a result of the site investigation and conversation with on-site personnel it was decided that the first step to resolve the temperature and humidity issues is to obtain a Pre-Read Test and Balance Report identifying the existing conditions and deficiencies as described herein. There are six (6) packaged rooftop units (RTU's) serving the office building. A complete pre-read of all connected supply and return diffusers/grilles is needed for each of the 6 RTU's. A duct traverse at the main trunk of each unit is also required to determine duct leakage rates. Additionally, a schematic showing supply/return duct routing, duct size, thermostat locations with unit that is controlled identified, manual volume damper locations, and automatic control damper locations is required to be submitted along with the official pre-read report. System and equipment deficiencies shall also be included in the pre-read report along with suggested for corrective actions. These deficiencies include, but are not limited to the following: o Blowers/motors are not functioning properly. o Loose, broken, or frayed belts. o Inoperable or disconnected automatic control dampers. o Kinked or pinched ductwork restricting airflow. o Obstructions in ductwork restricting airflow. o Covered supply or return registers/grilles. o Rooms with no return grilles. o Rooms with no supply diffusers. o Inoperable thermostats. o The thermostats are not connected to HVAC equipment for control. o Noticeable air leakage from ductwork in attic space, at diffuser connections, joints, or equipment connections Type of Award Lump Sum.
