Scope of Services PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND: This project entails the installation of 82 CAT6 data cables and a 6-strand armored single mode fiber optic link between a new Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) and an existing IDF. All work will be completed using CommScope components and in accordance with industry standards for data cabling and fiber optics. Other Details SCOPE OF WORK: A. Copper Cabling oInstallation of 82 CAT6 data cables from designated locations to the new IDF. oTermination of all cable runs using CommScope CAT6 jacks. oPatch panels in the new IDF will be populated and labeled accordingly. oAll horizontal cabling will be routed and supported by EIA/TIA and local building codes. oCables will be tested and certified using approved network cable testing equipment (Fluke or equivalent). oAll results will be documented and submitted to the County of Imperial. B. Fiber Optic Installation oFurnish and install one (1) 6-strand armored single-mode fiber optic cable between the new IDF and existing IDF. oProper termination using LC connectors on both ends. oFiber strands to be tested using OTDR and light source/power meter testing. oTest results and documentation are to be provided upon completion.
