The Town of Hopkinton Department of Public Works is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for construction of new sidewalks along Chestnut Street. The project will run between Wild Road and Gibbon Road, with an option to extend the project to Smith Road. All contractors bidding on this project are required to have a MassDOT prequalification in class of work for [HIGHWAY - SIDEWALK AND CURBING] with a minimum bid amount of $540,825 (FY26). Questions regarding this contract shall be submitted in writing to the Procurement Manager, Ritika Patel at rpatel@hopkintonmma.gov. Questions shall be submitted by Monday, June 16, 2025 at 2 PM to be considered. There will be no pre-bid meeting for this project. Attention of the bidder is called to the requirements of the minimum wage rates (prevailing wage) to be paid where applicable, as well as all compliance with OSHA requirements. Bid Deposit: Bid bond, cash, or certified or Treasurer's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the proposed work. Labor & Materials Payment Bond: 50% of the value of the proposed work. Performance Bond: None Evidence of Insurance Coverage: Required at time of award. Bids shall be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The Town of Hopkinton shall have the authority to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to limit the extent of the work to keep within the limits of available funds, and accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Hopkinton.
