Prairie View Municipality is issuing a Request for Tender for the renewal of Main Street in Birtle, Manitoba. The project cosists of: Removing 900 lineal meters of existing curb & gutter and hauling to Birtle Landfill 175 lineal metres of asphalt sawcutting at project extents. 9,850 square metres of surface preparation including: removal of existing asphalt pavement (approx. 125 mm thick) in parking lanes and at intersections and haul to Birtle Landifll; removal of existing granular backfill and haul to Birtle Landfill; regrading, placement and compaction of existing granular base; supplying and applying 8,850 square meters of prime and tack coat Installing 1,250 lineal metres of Barrier Curb & Gutter "Type C" as per Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure (MTI) Spec No. 860(I). Supplying and placing 1,750 tonnes of 150 mm thick MTI - Class "B" Bituminous Pavement on the driving lanes. Supplying and placing 1,100 tonnes of 100 mm thick MTI - Class "B" Bituminous Pavement on the parking lanes and at intersections. The Contractor shall maintain a comprehensive policy or policies of Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance in the minimum of $2,000,000.00 (two million dollars).
