Various - TCU Removal / Playground Redevelopment / Playground Redevelopment/ Path of Travel Playground Range : $3,000,001 to $10,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. A Bid Bond along with its Power Attorney prepared on the form attached to the Construction Contract as Appendix C or a Certified Check of the Bidder for five (5%) percent of the Bid Amount must accompany the Lump Sum Bid Form (Appendix A). The Bidder is required to execute a PLA Letter of Assent (in the form of Appendix L to the Construction Contract) pursuant to which it agrees to become signatory to, and abide by, the provisions of the PLA. This PLA Letter of Assent will be issued at the time of the Notice of Intent to Award letter. The Bidder must sign and return this document to the SCA along with the required Construction Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds. Failure to submit this PLA Letter of Assent will render the Bidder to be non-responsive and therefore, ineligible for award of a contract under this solicitation. Question Deadline 06/09/2025. All questions by prospective bidders concerning this solicitation should be directed to rfisca@nycsca.org, in writing at least three (3) business days prior to the originally scheduled, or, if applicable, postponed bid opening date. These projects are located at the following Sites: o IS 129: 2055 Mapes Avenue, Bronx, NY 10460. o PS 300: 2050 Prospect Avenue, Bronx, NY 10457 II. Performance Period The Contractor shall commence Work under this Contract at a date to be specified in a Notice to Proceed (NTP) letter issued by the SCA and, shall substantially complete Work on the Project, on or before 730 continuous calendar days from the date in the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Contractor shall achieve Final Completion for the Performance Period on or before 790 continuous calendar days from NTP date. III. Liquidated Damages The Contractor shall pay to the SCA as liquidated damages the sum of Fifteen Hundred ($1,500) Dollars for each continuous calendar day the Work shall not be substantially complete after the above-stated Substantial Completion date or any authorized extension thereof. The Contractor shall pay to the SCA as liquidated damages the sum of Fifteen Hundred ($1,500) Dollars for each continuous calendar day that Final Completion of the Work shall not be achieved after the above-stated Final Completion date or any authorized extension thereof 2. Immediately upon receipt of Notice of Intent to Award Letter/Signature Page to the Construction Contract, the successful Bidder shall furnish to the SCA and maintain during the term of the contract, at its own cost and expense a Construction Performance Bond in an amount at least equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price as security for faithful performance of the Contract; and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount at least equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract price for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under the contract or furnishing materials in connection with the Contract. The surety on such bonds shall be a company listed on the Department of the Treasury's Listing of Approved Sureties, authorized to do business in the State of New York and approved by the SCA. 3. Attorneys-in-fact who sign said bonds on behalf of a surety must affix to each bond a certified copy of their power of appointment, indicating the effective period.
