The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking professional services from a qualified Material Testing, Inspection and Observation agency for the construction of the Chemistry and Applied Math Building. The general scope of construction materials testing, inspection, and observations include but are not limited to: Structural steel Steel joists Cold formed steel decking Cold formed steel exterior walls Exterior wall and roof covering fastening Radiography Soils and drilled piers Concrete and reinforcing Concrete floor flatness (Ff) and floor levelness (Fl) Precast concrete Mass timber Fireproofing Firestopping Earthwork Flexible and rigid paving Supplemental materials testing, inspection, and observations may include: Expansive soils and void form Unit masonry Exterior stone cladding Fluid applied waterproofing Additional observation services as requested by the Project Representative Anticipated Services - Start July 24, 2025 Anticipated Services - Finish July 30, 2027 Mandatory Pre-submittal Conference: To ensure sufficient information is available to firms preparing submittals, a mandatory pre-submittal conference has been scheduled. The intent of this conference is to review the project and to have UCB and Design Team staff available to discuss the project.
