This pavement preservation project includes a comprehensive surface treatment program designed to extend the service life of existing roadways within the local agency's network. The scope of work involves the application of multiple surface sealing and crack repair methods tailored to specific pavement conditions. Key components of the project include: Asphalt Crack Seal: Standard hot-applied rubberized asphalt crack sealant will be applied to linear cracks to prevent water intrusion. Asphalt Crack Fill: Heavier-duty mastic material will be used on wider or distressed cracks. Concrete Crack Fill: Specialized concrete crack sealant will be applied to joints and cracks in concrete pavement sections to prevent moisture infiltration and preserve structural integrity. Asphalt Patching: Full-depth and 2" mill patching will be performed to address localized pavement failures prior to surface treatments. Slurry Seal: A slurry seal will be placed on designated roadways to create a smooth surface and protect against oxidation and weathering. Chip Seal: A layer of asphalt followed by aggregate and finally a fog coat will be placed on selected roadways to provide a new wearing course and protect against degradation.
