Site work and new construction of a civil project in Schroeppel, New York. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Project work includes extending the existing sanitary sewer collection system to serve properties in the western portion of the Town that currently rely on private, on-site septic systems. The project will address issues with malfunctioning septic systems, including those that leach into the Oswego River and its tributaries. The proposed action includes the installation of a sanitary sewer collection system within the West Schroeppel Sewer Service Area (WSSSA). The collection system will include approximately 31 miles of sewer mains, grinder pumps in areas of low-pressure sewer mains, and one new collection system pump station. The Town is considering two alternatives for wastewater treatment. As of June 9, 2025, this project is in the design phase. An engineer has been selected for the project.
