Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania for the Farmers Market Improvement Project. This project consists of improvements to the Butler City Farmers Mar-ket including Interior lighting upgrades and concrete floor repair, exterior lighting upgrades, new roof, sof fits, and painting. Site upgrades consist of removing parking islands, removing exist-ing trees, planting new trees, and installing a new pre-fabricated rest-room. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words, "Farmers Market Improvements Project". Liquidated damages apply at a rate of $500.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be submitted upon the forms within the specifi-cations. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to this con-tract. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the City of Butler in an amount equal to ten per-cent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 (fifteen) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bid-der may withdraw their Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting their Bid guarantee.
