Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a medical facility in Bismarck, North Dakota. Working plans call for the construction of a 316,246-square-foot, 140-bed medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
The original buildings total almost 650,000 sq ft, while historic, no longer meet the modern standards for safety, accessibility, and therapeutic environments. The need for a state-of-the-art facility that can support contemporary treatment modalities and patient care practices within one building (316,246 square-foot). Other plans call for the hospital to feature 140 inpatient bends for adult, geriatric, forensic, and admissions and SOTEP care. This new facility is designed to enhance patient care, improve operational efficiencies, and support the future needs of the community. As of July 31, 2025, the North Dakota State Legislature has approved funding for this project. The construction document has been completed. A tentative bid schedule for contractors has not been released. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been disclosed.
