The bismarck city administration has identified a need to remodel all 5 floors of the current city county building. The successful applicant will provide architectural/engineering services to develop conceptual drawings, final plans, andconstruction administration for a complete remodel of the city county building located at 221 north 5th street, bismarck nd. Successful firm will work with city administration and various department directors to optimize the space to meet todays and all future needs. Work includes but is not limited to: O work with city staff to grasp a vision for the building and adjacent grounds. O modernization of the entire building. O optimization of available space. O update or replace the existing hvac system as needed. O update or replace the plumbing system as needed. O update or replace the existing electrical system as needed. O restroom improvements. O security controls and improvements. O lighting controls and improvements. O all improvements need to meet the americans with disabilities act (ada) requirements. The architect/engineer will be selected based upon statements of qualification and/or oral interviews. A selection committee will recommend a single firm to the board of city commissioners. A detailed scope of work will be developed, and price will be negotiated withthe selected firm. Failure to reach an agreement acceptable to the city of bismarck will result in negotiation with the next most-qualified firm. A professional services agreement will be executed with a single firm. The city of bismarck reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, make counter proposals and/or engage in negotiations with any or all firms or individuals, waive any requirements or otherwise amend this rfp, or cancel the rfp in order to achieve the city's goals and objectives. Any changes in the status of the rfp will be brought to the attention of all parties that provide contact information for updates. The information contained in this rfp represent the city's best information at the time of the release of the rfp and the city reserves the right to modify any term or condition contained herein. If no agreement is reached during contract negotiations in a reasonable timeframe, the city of bismarck reserves the right to cancel the rfp or select the next most-qualified firm, according to the same procedures All deliverables, meeting notes, data, illustrations, and other materials created as final work products through an awarded project will be the sole property of the city of bismarck as a public record..
