Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to upgrade existing dead break elbows to load break elbows in existing 25 KV vaults, upgrade existing transformer bushing wells, and install a new transformer at the decant pump station at the Chalk Bluff Water Treatment Plant. Recipient shall not copy or otherwise reproduce any confidential information and may not distribute any information to any third-party that is not necessary for purposes of evaluating and submitting a bid for the Project. The Engineer's estimate is: $225,000 - $275,000 This Project is deemed a Horizontal Construction Project. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Work described in these documents shall be conducted under a single prime contract. The following is a general description ofthe Work included. B. The project makes several improvements to the Chalk BluffElectrical System. The project highlights include but are not limited to the following items: 1. Upgrade Splice Vault Terminations: a. Remove and discard existing separable dead break 25kv connectors and dead break cable terminations on each cable within the existing underground splice vaults. b. Install 200A, 25KV, 3-way, load break junction bar. c. Terminate cables with new 200A, 25KV, load break elbows. 2. Upgrade Transformer Bushing Wells, Cable Elbows, and fault indicators a. Replace existing dead break bushing wells within oil filled transformer with new load break bushing wells. b. Replace existing dead break cable elbows with load break cable elbows. c. Perform work necessary to replace bushing wells. Draining and replacing oil if necessary shall be performed in accordance with the transformer manufacturer's recommendations/procedures. 3. Replace Transformer T-l 1-4-1 a. Replace existing 25KV, Oil filled, 250KVA pad mounted transformer with new 500 KVA transformer.
