Renovation of a detention facility in Clinton, New Jersey. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The DPMC is seeking to engage the services of an electrical engineering firm with the objective to separate the electrical systems serving the Hunterdon Developmental Center and Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women and replace upward of 25,500 LF of medium voltage electrical feeders, switchgear and transformers serving both facilities. A new switchgear lineup is required along with a coordination study to correct inaccuracies in existing documentation. A further objective is to mitigate a fuel tank fill port location problem that has resulted in difficulty for refueling truck access. The consultant shall be a firm prequalified with the DPMC in: Electrical Engineering (P002) with a dollar rating of $15 Million or greater. The firm shall also have in-house capabilities or identify sub-consultants prequalified in the following disciplines: 1. Architecture P001; 2. Civil Engineering P005; 3. Estimating/Cost Analysis P025; 4. Asbestos Management & Design P037; 5. Asbestos Safety Control Monitoring P038 and, 6. Lead Paint Evaluation/Inspection P065. Small Business Enterprise Set Aside Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 17:13-1.1 et. seq., this project has been designated as a Small Business Set-Aside Opportunity. Note: This contract includes a goal of awarding 25 percent of the total contract value to either a prime or subcontract level. The consultant selected for award must produce copies of notice(s) from the Division of Revenue & Enterprise Services designating the prime or subcontracting firm(s) as an approved Small Business Enterprise and document their team's SBE participation prior to the award of a contract. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
