Renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility in Clinton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility.
No Bids will be accepted after said hour. The work will include, but is not limited to, the demolition of a portion of the existing storage barn, including walls and concrete floors, and reconstruction of three (3) storage bays, which includes CMU walls to the roof siding, concrete slabs, and roof bracing, and miscellaneous site work. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, and equipment required for this project as described in the Construction Documents. The Contract will allow 90 calendar days for completion of the work from the notice to proceed. One hard copy and one electronic copy of the Bids shall be made on the forms provided and made part of the Contract Documents. A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the order of the Town of Clinton, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that They can obtain the required Performance Bond. The successful Bidder will be required to deliver to the Owner an executed Performance Bond and Payment Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. The submitted Bid packages shall be complete with the Bid description and the name and address of the Bidder marked clearly on the outside of the envelope. Bids must be placed in sealed envelopes and received by mail or hand delivered in person to the Town Clerk's office located at 43 Leigh Street, Clinton, New Jersey 08809. The envelope must also identify the Bid as Town of Clinton 43 Leigh Street Storage Barn Structural Repairs. The Town of Clinton reserves the right to consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. The right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept bids which it deems most favorable to the interest of the Town to make an award on each item separately or as a whole and to accept any Bid or to reject any or all Proposals in accordance with the Specifications and the Bid forms. Question Deadline 07/23/2025 No interpretation of the meaning of the Contract Documents will be made to any Bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be asked through the Question and Answer feature for the project at online and to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids Provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and permits required for comprehensive site work. This encompasses excavation, grading, backfill, removal of trees, removal and resetting of existing chain-link fence for construction access, and ensuring the site's level and readiness for subsequent construction phases. Implement temporary site security measures including, but not limited to, erecting fencing, to ensure the safety and protection of the construction site, its personnel, and the public. Set up temporary facilities required for construction operations, including storage and operational facilities. Upon nearing project completion, engage in landscaping, including planting, seeding, and any decorative or functional installations. Ensure site restoration to a state that is environmentally sustainable, aesthetically pleasing, and consistent with the project's overall objectives and any local regulations. The outline of the items of work listed below is general and shall not necessarily constitute the entire work to be performed under the contract. The work shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Soil erosion and sediment control measures 2. Site Work a. Temporary site security measures, site clearing, excavation, earthwork, disposal of contaminated material, chain-link fence install, surface restoration 3. Storage Barn Structural Repairs a. Installation of temporary roof shoring, demolition of walls, posts and concrete slabs, construction of reinforced concrete slabs, CMU walls, wood work, miscellaneous items 4. Retrofitting of existing storage barn light fixtures with LED light fixtures
