The City of Bradenton is seeking bids to provide the replacement, installation, and refurbishment of traffic signs in various areas on a "as needed basis" within the City of Bradenton. Question Submission Deadline: June 19, 2025, 5:00pm. A. Prior to the start of work the Contractor shall inventory all signs in the City and their conditions. From there the Contractor shall inventory all signs throughout the City on a quarterly basis. If any signs are damaged or leaning the Contractor shall make note of the sign, the issue, location and a schedule of when it will be repaired. B. The Contractor shall work with the City's GIS designee to identify and record sign types and locations. C. The Contractor shall replace/repair a Stop Sign within two (2) hours from service request notification by the city or after hours call by On-Call CBSI. A Contractor's performance to meet a service request notification to install, replace or repair a Stop Sign issued by the city after 3:30 P.M. will be considered as non-standard hours. D. The Contractor shall take before and after photos of all repairs and replacements of signs and posts and provide detailed work reports which contain sign location, type, time and date of repair, etc. E. All work shall be conducted in strict accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Standard Plans for Road Construction, and the latest edition of the FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. F. The Contractor shall provide Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) in accordance with the latest Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Standard Plans for the project. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in complete shutdown by the City with no additional compensation to the Contractor. Driveway access shall be always maintained. G. The Contractor shall remove and replace damaged, outdated, or missing traffic signs, including but not limited to regulatory, warning, and guide signs. H. The work includes the installation of new signposts, as well as the necessary excavation, concrete work, and backfilling for each installation. I. The signs and posts will be provided by the Contractor, and the Contractor is responsible for proper installation, ensuring compliance with MUTCD height and setback requirements. J. All posts, except those installed in concrete medians, shall be set using a high-strength concrete mix meeting or exceeding ASTM C 387 specifications. Concrete shall be placed at a minimum of 20 pounds and a maximum of 40 pounds per post. K. Posts installed in concrete medians must have a 10-inch cutout with a PVC, CPVC, or fiberglass insert. The insert must be installed flush with the top of the median and the hole filled with soil. L. Traffic control and safety procedures must be adhered to, including providing all necessary personnel, equipment, and materials for the safe execution of the work
