The Project generally involves construction of a new fuel island that includes the installation of new 10,000-gallon diesel, 5,000-gallon gasoline, and 1,200-gallon diesel exhaust fluid tanks, along with associated fuel dispensers and controllers, built under a new canopy structure. There will also be pavement and concrete demolition, minor grading and trenching work, adjustments to existing drainage structures, new pavement work, and new concrete work, including the construction of foundations and raised curb platforms. Engineer's Estimate: $3,245,000.00 Each bid must be accompanied by an electronic pdf copy of a bidder's bond in the sum of not less than 10% of the total aggregate amount of the bid. Bonds must be issued by a surety that is an "admitted surety insurer" in the State of California and must name the City of San Jose as beneficiary. Bonds must be accompanied by an electronic pdf copy of the surety's power of attorney and a notary acknowledgement for the surety's signature. Bidders must retain the original wet-signed bidder's bond and provide it to the City upon request.
