Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Sweetwater, Texas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.

All bids submitted for City consideration must be clearly marked on the outside of the sealed envelope with the words "Competitive Sealed Bid # DEM2025-02, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP): Asbestos Wet Demolition, Asbestos Debris Removal and Clearing Services for 2311 Lamar Street, in Sweetwater, Texas." Attention: Becky Jimenez, City Secretary, and must contain the name of the company submitting the bid. A performance bond will be required for all contracts over $100,000.00 and a payment bond will be required for all contracts over $25,000.00. Otherwise, it is included with the performance bond. Payment bonds are to be for 100% of the contract price. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities or to proceed otherwise when in the best interest of the City. Bids shall be valid for a period of sixty (60) days from the date bids are opened". The City of Sweetwater is accepting Competitive Sealed Bids for all supervision, materials, labor and equipment necessary for National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP): Asbestos Wet Demolition, Asbestos Debris Removal and Clearing Services for the property located at 2311 Lamar Street, in Sweetwater, Texas. Bidders must bid on all items listed on the Bid Form which are combined as a single bid proposal. The scope of work under this bid shall include all supervision, materials, labor and equipment necessary for wet demolition, debris removal and clearing services for the property located at 2311 Lamar Street, in Sweetwater, Texas. All work shall be performed in accordance with all Local, State and Federal regulations in addition to specifics identified below: a. Apply for and obtain all necessary permits from the City of Sweetwater BEFORE work begins. (i.e., Demolition Permit) b. Disconnection and/or verify the disconnection of all utilities (Electric, Water, Sewer, Gas, Cable/Satellite, and Telephone) services/meters at property sites. c. Demolish and remove allstructures, foundations and steps by NESHAP regulations, which are as follows: i. No visible emissions. ii. Competent asbestos licensed individual on-site during demo of building. d. Contractor will need the following: i. Water truck with sufficient water pressure to keep dust and emissions down to a minimum. ii. Haul off dump trucks or contains will need to be lined with 6-mil poly. iii. All demo materials will be classified as ACM and all materials will need to be discarded in an approved landfill who takes asbestos. e. Remove all trash/debris/rubbish/tree limbs from the property. f. Remove all dead trees. g. As needed, build up lot with fill dirt particularly where structures and foundation had been previously located. h. Grade lot smooth for mowing. i. Call the City Planning and Development Services Department at (325) 236-6313, to schedule and obtain a final inspection for each property before submitting invoices for payment. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
