Renovation of an educational facility in Stony Brook, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

CR Number: 2121933 Stony Brook University Hospital intends to make an award for the above-noted commodity, product, and/or service. A sealed bid will be held. If you are interested in providing a proposal for the above commodity/product and/or service, you must contact the appropriately designated Campus contact in this advertisement within 15 business days of this Advertisement Notice. An award will be made to one single Prime Contractor. A Wicks Waiver has been applied for by the Hospital. The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, shall include, but not be limited to the following: performing, installing, furnishing, and supplying all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number 23485, titled ACP-New Procedure Suite and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: The complete removal, furnishing, rigging, installing, and other components related to the replacement of Roof Top Unit #2 on the ACP building. The project will require the rigging of the removal and installation of the new packaged rooftop mechanical equipment as shown in the attached design drawings and specifications. The rigging task is to be performed on premium time off hours on a weekend to avoid impacts to patient care. This project will be responsible for all rooftop penetrations, along with roofing repair work and structural steel associated. The contractor is to provide adequate training to Plant Operations while performing a proper turnover for preventative maintenance purposes. Proper safety measures will be maintained throughout the project so that adjacent areas are free from any potential harm from construction-related activities. Necessary engineering submissions and testing parameters are to be adhered to as highlighted throughout the bid documents. Contractor will be required to respond to all punch list action items generated from their responsible scope of work items related to this project by Stony Brook Medicine, the contracted Architect or Engineer of Record, and the hired commissioning organization. Documents will only be provided to potential bidders electronically via e-mail for this project. This will allow for inclusion on the Project's online List and direct receipt of any Addenda and/or Clarifications that may be issued. Bids submitted by contractors who have obtained forms in any other manner will be considered informal. Vendors must enter the hospital by way of the main entrance, get visitor passes from the information desk, and be ready for a prompt 10:00 AM Start. When applicable, vendors must wear face masks in the Hospital Environment. Interested Prime contractors must be in attendance in order to submit a bid. It is recommended that interested subcontractors and/or suppliers also attend in order to network and share company information with interested Prime Bidders, however, attendance is optional for subcontractors and suppliers. Interested subcontractors/suppliers can request a copy of the sign in sheet for the names of Prime Contractors who were in attendance, post conference. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. Refer to Information for bidders, 7554-06, for additional information on bid security. Event Bid Description: In a sealed envelope, marked with the name and address of the bidder, the title of the Project - SBUH ACP-New Procedure Suite, and the Project number IFB 24/25-078. The Hospital accepts no responsibility for Proposals that may be delivered by any courier or other messenger service that does not contain all of the above-noted information on the outside of a sealed envelope. Facsimile or email copies of the Proposal will not be accepted. Bids must be sealed and submitted in triplicate, one with all original signatures, in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders, this advertisement, Notice to Bidders, and the IFB package. Bids, whether mailed or dropped off, must have the following address and information stated on the outside of the sealed package: Stony Brook University Hospital Purchasing Attn: Omar Santiago 2000 Ocean Avenue Suite 1 Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. Site Walkthrough Description: Interested bidders must RSVP their intent to attend the scheduled conference to : Omar.Santiago@StonyBrookMedicine.edu no later than 12:00 noon on June 12th, 2025. Interested bidders will be sent the bid documents including drawings and specifications as requested. It is strongly suggested that contractors include enough travel time to the hospital to include time to park and walk to the meeting location at the Hospital. Question Deadline - 06/20/2025 at 4:00 PM ET - All Bidders' questions must be submitted in writing, citing the particular IFB page, section, and paragraph number where applicable to Omar.Santiago@StonyBrookMedicine.edu Questions received after the closing date for inquiries will not be answered. All questions must be relevant to the Bidder's response to this IFB. Copies of all relevant questions, with official responses, will be provided in writing to all Bidders who have requested this IFB by June 27th, 2025, or as soon thereafter as possible. Only written answers are official. Estimated Project Start Date: August 7th, 2025 Estimated Project Completion Date: July 7th, 2026.
