Site work for an educational facility in Perry, Ohio. Working plans call for site work for a educational facility.
As of 7/15/25 - Bids were received for the Bleacher Railings and Guardrails project. There were two contracts that were being bid. Contract ‘A’ was for steel modifications to the bleachers. Contract ‘B’ was for fence fabric installation at the guard rails. There was a third contract, Contract ‘C’, which was for all work. Contracts ‘A’ and ‘B’ or Contract ‘C’ is required for a complete project. Some work is reliant on each contract. No bids were received for Contracts ‘A’ or ‘C’. One bid was received for Contract ‘B’. The published estimate for the Contract ‘B’ Base Bid was $50,000.00. The submitted bid was for $49,300.00. Since the scope of Contract ‘A’ is not covered by any bidders, and a complete project cannot be achieved, we cannot recommend any contractor for award. TDA is working with the district to adjust the project scope to meet the district’s budget and timelines. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your district. The proposed work consists of providing and installing new railing and guard protection at the High School Stadium. Work will include light steel fabrication, painting and chainlink fencing. Contracts will be provided for Steel/Paint and for Chainlink Fencing. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid or a bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the Perry Local School District and to be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance of the contract in the sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total price bid for the complete work, said bond to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio and shall be underwritten by a surety that is listed on the most current Department of the Treasury Circular 570, Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds. All bids shall be submitted on special blank forms furnished by the Architect, and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond conforming to Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bids which it deems favorable. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, for at least sixty (60) days. The Architect’s opinion of probable cost of construction, for base bid for Contract ‘A’ is $ 94,500.00. The Architect’s opinion of probable cost of construction, for base bid for Contract ‘B’ is $ 24,500.00. The Architect’s opinion of probable cost of construction, for base bid for Contract ‘C’ is $ 119,000.00.
