Hempfield Township will receive sealed bids for a new Standby Generator for Hempfield Fire Station 500, located at 1146 Woodword Drive, Greensburg, Pennsylvania 15601 NOTE: No cash or credit card payment can be accepted for the bid documents. Check or money order to be made payable to the H.F. Lenz Co. Prospective bidders can address all questions to the office of the engineer at (717) 461-3916, attention Mr. Bryan Clement. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Hempfield Township, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder, and an acceptable surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid for the Standby Generator Installation for the Hempfield Station 500, shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, and a certificate of insurance prior to the award of the contract. Work under this contract is subject to the requirements of the PA Prevailing Wage Act. The PA Prevailing Wage Rates applicable to this Contract are included. Hempfield Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Hempfield Township for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
