The Yale Public School District is requesting bids for the design, fabrication, and installation of new signage across all district schools and administrative buildings according to the enclosed specifications and instructions. Emmett, MI 48022 Avoca Elementary 8751 Willow Avoca, MI 48006 YPSD Main Campus Entrance The awarded vendor(s) shall perform the following tasks: Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and installation logistics Propose 1-3 design concepts per sign type for district approval Fabricate and install selected signage across district sites using existing base when possible Ensure compliance with ADA and local/state signage requirements Remove old signs, replace with new signs using existing foundation when applicable. Install new base for areas in the district that do not have existing base. Base must be in a concrete footing that will meet frost and other weather requirements. Restore site to original (grass, no holes or divets, stone, etc.) Dimensions for signs: - Main Entrance - 10ft wide, 6 ft tall - Island Sign - 10 ft. Wide, 4 - 10 ft. tall - Yale Elementary - 7 ft wide, 5 ft tall - Central Office 10 ft wide, 4 - 10 ft. tall - Avoca Elementary - 7 ft Wide, 5 ft Tall - Farrell Elementary - 7 ft Wide, 5 ft. Tall - Yale Junior High - 7 ft. Wide, 5 ft. Tall Signage types may include: Exterior Building Identification Signs Interior and Exterior Wayfinding Signs Entrance/Exit and Safety Compliance Signs Custom District Branding Elements. Sites will be available on July 2, 2025 and must be completed by September 1, 2025. Sequencing of work will be coordinated between the owner and the contractor. The building staff will be responsible for the removal of furniture and fixtures that are in the work areas. Bidder agrees to "indemnify and hold the district and its officers, employees, agents, volunteers, and board members harmless against any and all liabilities, claims, losses, actions, causes of action, costs, expenses, and attorney fees, of any kind, whether relating to property of Yale Public School District or any third party, or for personal injury or death, or for compensatory or economic damages, arising out of or in any way attributable to the acts of failure to act of contractor or its officers, agents, employees, and independent contractors. All bidders must be bondable and shall include in the Proposal the cost of furnishing Labor and Material Payment and Performance bonds each in the payable amount of 5% of the proposed bidding sum. The bonds shall hold Yale Public Schools as the oblige. A surety authorized by the State of Michigan must issue bonds. The surety must be listed on the current Federal Register or have an A. M. Best rating of B+ or better. Failure to meet these requirements will be cause for rejection of the bond. Where required, remove and properly dispose of identified signs, applicable ordinances, laws and regulations. Damage caused by removal must be repaired to district satisfaction at bidders cost. Prepare site to receive new products in accordance with the Manufacturer's instructions. Commencement of installation constitutes acceptance of surface and sub surface condition(s) by the contractor. Signage to be selected by the owner. Please enclose a manufacturer's standard size sample of materials showing a full range of colors, textures and patterns available with your bid. The owner may require larger samples of the color selections in order to determine actual colors and patterns and may choose multiple colors. Proof of Workers' Compensation and General Liability insurance is required to be submitted to the business office prior to commencement of work. Contractor shall provide items of a minor nature not specifically listed to provide a complete Owner acceptable project. Yale Elementary, Avoca Elementary, Yale Junior High and Farrell Elementary use the existing base. Bidders must provide signed affidavit for familial relationships. Bidders must provide signed affidavit for Iran Business Relationship. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive omissions, irregularities or clerical errors not affecting substantial compliance with the plans and specifications.
