The project consists of the rehabilitation of all streets in the Barriere Lake Aboriginal community located in the La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve in Rapid Lake. Specifically, the project consists of: Filling of ditches to allow widening of main streets; Installation of a new complete underground storm water system, including pipes, sumps, manholes and 3 runoff treatment devices (hydrodynamic separators); Two extensions to the drinking water and sanitary sewer network, including an extension requiring service entrances for the addition of 5 new residential lots; The replacement of culverts of entry charretière; Surface decontamination of existing foundation material (MG-20); Laying approximately 3,600 tonnes of bituminous asphalt over a cumulative length of about 2.2 km; The laying of sidewalks and concrete curbs; Additional interventions such as the cleaning of ditches, the redevelopment of existing storm drains near the Cabonga Reservoir and the implementation of measures to mitigate environmental impacts during the works.
