This project is the widening of US 21 Bypass and SC 51. The work generally consists of select clearing and grubbing, widening of US 21 and SC 51, extensions of two 5x5 concrete box culverts, one 6x6 concrete box culvert and associated storm drainage pipes, boxes and inlets, the realignment of Gold Hill Rd., US 21 Business, Spring Hill Farm Rd., Old Nation Rd., etc. PROJECT DESCRIPTION 1.1. The Work of this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services and incidentals; and of performing all work necessary to complete all specified work in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared therefore and entitled Widening of US 21 Bypass and SC 51. The work generally consists of select clearing and grubbing, widening of US 21 and SC 51, extensions of two 5x5 concrete box culverts, one 6x6 concrete box culvert and associated storm drainage pipes, boxes and inlets, the realignment of Gold Hill Rd., US 21 Business, Spring Hill Farm Rd., Old Nation Rd., etc; and performing all work necessary to complete all specified work in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared therefore and entitled Widening of US 21 Bypass and SC 51. 1.2. Completion time for the project will be 1095 calendar days as set forth in the Agreement. The contractor will start the work covered by The Department of the Army Regional General Permit SAC# 2015-00812 as soon as possible from the Notice to Proceed. 1.3. The Gold Hill realignment with US 21 has an interim completion date of June 30, 2026. There is an elementary school on Gold Hill Road opening for the 2026/2027 school year and the realignment must be complete before the school opens.
