Question Deadline 07/04/2025 The proposed project is to reconstruct the existing rock revetment to an increased elevation to provide proper protection from storm events. The rock revetment, built in 1978, was designed for future conditions though the modeling did not predict the increase in storm intensity in recent years, as well as sea level rise, and now the design must be augmented to account for the heightened water and wave climate. On the southern portion of the property (as shown on the approved Existing and Proposed Plan View), the rock revetment will be raised to EL 16 feet NAVD88 on a 2:1 slope, and the area directly behind the revetment will be covered with a layer of Armorflex open cell erosion control at a slope of 4:1 up to EL 17 and then continuing back for 12 feet on a flat area of land.
