Bids are invited on the following: HAWLEY PUBLIC LIBRARY REFRIGERATED FOOD LOCKER SITE PREPARATION The work involves the construction of a 16 foot by 8 foot concrete pad and 10 foot by 3'-6" concrete sidewalk. Work also includes installation of two electrical conduits from the building to the slab including wiring of a 240 volt single phase 30 amp circuit from the buildings existing electrical panel to the proposed refrigerated food locker that will be supplied and installed by others. The contractor will be required for the power connections to the food locker. To facilitate the electrical tie into the existing panel the work may require the removal and reconstruction of a portion of a partition inside the Library and also the restoration of the interior wall including gypsum wallboard taped and finished. The sealed bid must be marked "HAWLEY PUBLIC LIBRARY REFRIGERATED FOOD LOCKER SITE PREPARATION." A certified check or bank draft payable to Wayne County, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder, and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to 10% of the total Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the Bidding. Bids may be held by the Commissioners for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidder, prior to the award of the Contract. The Contract will be awarded to the bidder that submits the lowest Responsible bid on the base bid. If alternates are accepted, the bid will be awarded to the contractor submitting the lowest responsible bid total for the base bid plus the alternate. The decision to accept alternates lies solely with the Commissioners.
