Q/A Cutoff Date: 07/02/2025 Q/A Cutoff Time: 02:00 PM CDT QUESTION SUBMITTAL DEADLINE no later than seven (7) business days before bidding due date. Via internet system or email to joe.pester@edtinc.net SCOPE OF WORK/TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS. The Decatur Housing Authority is seeking bids from qualified and licensed entities to provide the installation of mailboxes located on the Decatur Housing Authority Sterrs property. Contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, tools, equipment, security, services, water, light, heat, power, transportation, and supervision necessary for the satisfactory performance of the work subject to this IFB. 2.1 The following scope of work provides the description and technical specifications for the installation of new mailboxes, (mailboxes to be provided by the Agency). Although DHA has attempted to identify all of the needs, the scope or work may or may not be all-inclusive. 2.1.1 Sitework: Contractor is responsible for any work related to excavation dirt work, gravel, hauling, trash removal and general clean up during construction. 2.1.2 Contractor shall determine all foundation grades and confirm them with DHA representative. 2.1.3 Landscaping: Contractor will be responsible for fine grading, hauling, and spreading of soil, purchase and installation of sod, and seed/straw for all dirt that is disturbed during Construction process. 2.1.4 Foundation: 2.1.4.1 Monolithic Slab - 300 Psi with a 5 1/2 slump; 2.1.4.2 Footings - 300 Psi with a 5 1/2 slump; 2.1.4.3 Sidewalks - 300 Psi with a 5 1/2 slump; 2.1.4.4 Use 5'x150' welded wire mesh for reinforcement of concrete; 2.1.4.5 #5 Rebar footings; 2.1.4.6 Install handicap ramp at time of slab. Must meet all ADA accessible specifications. (See attached Documents P-1, P-2, and P-3) 2.1.5 Framing: 2.1.5.1 Lumber is #2 grade or better yellow pine, fir or spruce; 2.1.5.2 9' ceiling; 2.1.5.3 Rafter or truss spacing will be 24" on center; 2.1.5.4 Soffits will be 12: overhang; 2.1.5.5 6x6 treated post with post bases. To be wrapped with brick columns; 2.1.5.6 Hurricane clips on tops of 6x6 posts; 2.1.5.7 Frame interior shelf. (See attached Document P-4) 2.1.6 Siding: Georgis Pacific, or equivalent white vented soffit, metal fascia. 2.1.7 Roofing: 2.1.7.1 Roofing decking to be 7/16 OSB; 2.1.7.2 Roof design to be Hip Style on an 8/12 pitch; 2.1.7.3 Underlayment to be Grip Rite synthetic; 2.1.7.4 Shingles to be Architectural by Owens Corning, or equal, and color charcoal gray. Roof ventilation will be black ridge vent; 2.1.7.5 Install drip edge on roof decking. 2.1.8 Electrical: 2.1.8.1 Electrical shall meet or exceed all applicable codes; 2.1.8.2 Install a twilight switch all lighting to come on and off at dusk to dawn; 2.1.8.3 Electrical layout.
