Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Carlstadt, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and playground / park / athletic field.
** As of July 21, 2025 project has been awarded to Top Line Construction but no awarded amount available.** The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) is seeking bids from a contractor experienced in paving for the complex of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority. Question Deadline 06/25/2025 at 3:00 PM ET If there are any questions regarding the bid, contact Mr. John Duffy, SVP of Sports Complex Operations and Facilities @ njseabids@njsea.com. All firms who attend the bid walk must submit all questions. The location is the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority Meadowlands Sports Complex roads. The term of this contract is for a one hundred and eighty (180) day period. In accordance with Public Law 2004, c.57, the NJSEA may only enter into contracts with Bidders who provide proof of valid business registration with the Division of Revenue in the Department of Treasury, of the State of New Jersey. Such proof must be submitted concurrently with the bid. NJSEA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and, so far as permitted by law, to waive any irregularity or informality with respect to any bid. The NJSEA further reserves the right to make such investigations as it deems necessary as to the qualifications of any and all firms submitting bids. In the event that all bids are rejected, the NJSEA reserves the right to re-solicit bids. Mobilization / Demobilization shall consist of the cost of initiating the contract, including preparatory work and operations, necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the Project site, and other work performed, or costs incurred prior to beginning work and completing work. In any case of inconsistencies with the N.J.A.C. 7:14-2.9, the NJ Administrative Code shall govern. . Under this item the Contractor shall provide all work required in connection with the layout for construction of the project, using the control points and data furnished by the project Licensed Surveyor. A. Sawcutting shall consist of the cutting of sidewalks, concrete, driveways, curbs, and pavements of whatever nature in order to maintain a clean finished look when matching into existing areas of concrete and asphalt where directed Neglia Group. B. Sidewalks, curbs, and aprons shall be cut and removed in compete sections joint to joint. A. Under this item the Contractor shall restore the work site and access area to its original condition including, but not limited to, installation of both temporary and permanent striping, remove and reset street, road signs, remove and reset parking meters, remove, and dispose of all topsoil, seeding, and landscaping, sidewalks, roadways, curbs, cleaning and removal of stockpiles and equipment, and all else not specifically covered elsewhere in these specifications. All concrete aprons, concrete roads within the project limit, concrete driveways, asphalt driveways, and paver driveways shall be restored. B. This item includes restoration of adjacent parking areas and commercial driveways, associated striping, and landscaping disturbed during construction. Driveways shall be restored with material matching existing material in a uniform seamless manner. Disturbed landscaped areas shall be restored in-kind. All existing painted curbs which are damaged during construction shall be repainted in-kind. C. All damaged sump pump outlets or roof leaders that discharge to existing curbs shall be reconstructed with in-kind materials and sizes. The extents of replacement shall be from the backside of the sidewalk, through the green belt, terminating at the front face of curb, where applicable. A. Under this item the Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing asphalt pavement, existing curb ramps, sidewalks, dirt, stones, and all debris as needed within project limits; the removal of which is required for carrying out the work of this project, shall be removed and disposed of off-site. B. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of any reinforced concrete pavement, bituminous pavement, castings, and curb pieces as necessary for the project. He shall remove and reset street any road signs, remove and reset any shrubs and fences, remove, and reset to grade manhole and catch basin frames, gas, and water valves, and complete all other removals and relocations required for the work and not specifically covered elsewhere for payment. C. The Contractors are advised to make a site visit, check the existing site conditions, and determine the detail scope of work for the site clearing before the bidding of this project. D. Sidewalks, curbs, and aprons shall be cut and removed in compete sections joint to joint. No cutting or chipping down of existing curb is permitted.
