Project scope includes, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of backup generator located at the Appleridge Lift Station, and all other associated work required to complete all as shown and specified in the plans and contract documents. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing or via email to Engineer (bknight@benchmarkms.net). Interpretations or clarifications will be issued by Addenda mailed or emailed to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Only answers to questions by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. 8.02 Addenda may also be issued to modify the Bidding Documents as deemed advisable by Owner or Engineer. 8.03 No addenda will be issued within forty-eight (48) hours of the advertised bid time, exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the INTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. A Pre-Bid Conference is not being held for this project. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed and deposited with the City Clerk prior to the hour and date designated above. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and show Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. The CITY OF BRANDON reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities, to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City, or to reject any or all bids.
