Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Brandon, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The Wildlife Mississippi, Washington County, Mississippi, will receive bids for the improvement to nature trails and construction of wooden structures within Fannye Cook Natural Trails for a total project length of 3.60 miles. The work shall consist of: Trail development, including associated pipes and cross drainages; an access road; a boat launch and associated parking; and wooden bridges and boardwalks. The above general outline offeatures ofthe work does not in any way limit the responsibility ofthe contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. The attention ofbidders is directed to the Contract Provisions governing selection and employment oflabor. Minimum wage rates for Federal-Aid projects have been predetermined by the Secretary ofLabor and are subject to Public Law 87-581 Work Hours Act of 1962, as set forth in the Contract Provisions. The Wildlife Mississippi ofWashington County hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged and women's business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds ofrace, color, sex, age, disability, religion or national origin in consideration for an award. The award ofthis contract will be contingent upon the Contractor satisfying the DBE requirements. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Cashier's check, Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State ofMississippi, in the amount offive percent (5%) ofthe total bid price, payable to Wildlife Mississippi as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) ofthe contract amount. The proposal and contract documents in its entirety shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and deposited to Wildlife Mississippi, 4858 Old Leland Road, Leland Mississippi prior to the hour and date above designated. Work to be performed shall be in accordance with the "Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017", together with all amendments and/or special provisions and/or addenda to the standards duly approved and adopted, unless otherwise noted in these specifications. The attention ofBidders is directed to the provisions of Subsection 102.07 pertaining to irregular proposals and rejection ofbids.
