The Metropolitan District (MDC) intends to obtain formal bids from qualified contractors to provide acoustic condition assessments to characterize the current condition of approximately 4 miles of pipes located in Hartford and East Hartford, Connecticut. In addition to the condition assessment survey, the contractor performs active leaks detection. The selected contractor will be expected to enter into a contract for the provision of services embodying the substance of the specifications stated herein. There will be NO Pre-Bid Conference. Question Deadline 06/20/2025 at 4:00 PM ET All questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing, by email, with the subject line "2025B-29 Leak Detection Service and Assessment for Underground Pipes" Dana Chalupka at dchalupka@themdc.com. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security (Bid bond, or a certified check, or a treasurer's or cashier's check) issued by, a responsible bank or trust company, made payable to Owner. Bid bonds must be issued by a surety licensed in Connecticut and listed on the Department of Treasury's Listing of Approved Sureties with an underwriting limitation of no less than the full amount of the Bid. The Bid security shall be in the amount EQUAL TO TEN PERCENT (10%) of the amount of the Bid. Bid security shall be sealed in a separate envelope from the Bid and then attached to the envelope containing the Bid. Bid bond shall be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. The MDC reserves the right to confer with any bidder or all bidders, to waive any informalities, irregularities or omissions in bids received and/or afford any bidder an opportunity to remedy an informality or irregularity if in the sole opinion of the MDC it is in its best interest, so long as it does not provide a competitive advantage to a bidder. The MDC reserves the right to reject any one or more bids, with or without notice.
