The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing and installing all materials, equipment, accessories, and labor necessary for the following work at the Western Booster Pump Station: coordinate testing of the existing pump motor (P-102) and power cables between VFD No 2 and the MCC, demolish the existing VFD, extend the concrete pad to accommodate the new VFD, and install a new medium voltage VFD. Work also includes installing new conduit with a signal cable between the new VFD and the PLC panel network switch. The Bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish "Performance and Maintenance" and "Labor and Material Payment" bonds to the District. The "Performance and Maintenance" and "Labor and Material Payment" bonds shall be furnished in the amount of 100 percent of the contract, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. Extend existing concrete housekeeping pad for new VFD dimensions. Install a new medium voltage VFD. Utilize existing conduit to install a new load side cable. Install new conduit with signal cable between the new VFD and the existing PLC panel network switch. Terminate existing control and signal wires at the new VFD. Test, startup, and commission the new VFD to confirm operation of Pump Number 2.
