Periodically, Franklin County has need of outside repair services for a variety of equipment that fall within the categories of HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, and Septic trades. Franklin County is requesting bids for contracts for the maintenance and repair of Franklin County equipment to ensure continuous and reliable operation. Typically, these small projects are for minor repairs and maintenance only. Franklin County reserves the right to bid out large replacement projects separately or allow the awarded contractor to do the work from this contract. Bid will be divided into, and awarded, by lots. It is not necessary to bid on all lots. Any resultant contract(s) will be used on an as needed basis. Maintenance & Repair Lot I - Heating, Cooling, and Air Handler Equipment - any Franklin County, NY location Lot II - Kitchen equipment (not including refrigeration) - any Franklin County, NY location) Lot III - Septic equipment - Jail location only. This shall include the septic grinder and pumps in the equipment list, as well as the connections to them. Lot IV - Refrigeration (any Franklin County location) Lot V - Plumbing (any Franklin County location) shall include the installation, maintenance and alteration of plumbing fixtures and appliances in connection with sanitary and storm drainage facilities. Plumbing directly connected to HVAC systems shall be part of Lot 1. This lot is intended for plumbing fixtures connected to sinks, toilets, drainage, and the like. Pipes may consist of various sizes and types including, but not limited to, 1/2 " to 4" copper, galvanized, PVC, Pex and black iron, as well as drainage pipes. Experience need in this category includes, but is not limited to, cutting, fitting, soldering, welding,glueing and threading of pipes; and working with valves and shut-offs. Contract duration: Contract shall be for the period of August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026 with the option to renew for up to two (2) one (1) year extensions at the same terms and conditions if agreeable by both parties. Franklin County reserves the right to cancel this contract with 30 days written notice. The County reserves the right to reject any bid if the information submitted by, or investigation of, a bidder fails to satisfy the County that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. Conditional bids will not be accepted.
