A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The objective of the project is to remove the existing butterfly valve at the Brannan Street Outfall and install new bending weirs. The project also includes the construction of new concrete wall in the outfall, the installation of baffle wall in the outfall, construction of new ductbank and the installation of electrical and monitoring equipment. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B and Section 2.01 of Attachment 1. The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 14.00%. The LBE subcontracting requirement can only be met with certified San Francisco Micro and Small-LBEs. LBE sub participation requirement is below 20% due to the specialized nature of the contract work, including concrete repairs and baffle wall rehabilitation which are all done in a confined space and a marine environment. Only specific qualified contractors will be able to perform the work. Also, the installation of the bending weir has never been performed by the City. PUC-LBEs cannot be counted towards meeting the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). Prime and Joint Venture level LBE participation cannot be counted towards meeting any of the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). LBE subcontractors must be certified with in the scope of work they are being listed to perform. All Bidders shall submit documented Good Faith efforts with their Bids as directed on Form 2B, except those who exceed the above-stated subcontracting requirement(s) by at least 35%.
