Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $2,750 for each calendar day of delay. for each calendar day of delay from the date established for substantial completion, and $2,750 for each calendar day of for each calendar of delay from the date established for final completion. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Total Bid Price. Separate sealed Bids for the construction of new elevated reinforced concrete floor slab including the temporary removal, resetting, supporting, and permanent demolition of utilities in the basement supported by the existing floor slab. Construction shall also include the demolition and construction of an interior concrete masonry wall, select replacement of ventilation ductwork and insulation. The Work will require the construction of a temporary solids conveyance system to maintain facility operations for the duration of construction. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof. To be considered a responsive Bidder, the Contractor shall have obtained at least one set of Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. The Bid will not be awarded to a Bidder unless a record for obtaining at least one set of Bidding Documents exists in the Issuing Office. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed" as follows: 180 calendar days for substantial completion. 220 calendar days for final completion. Bids may be issued only by the City's Purchasing Manager, or their designee, to authorized firms and are not transferable unless authorized by the Purchasing Manager, or their designee. Plans and specifications will only be available, at no charge, in PDF format on the City's website The successful Bidder must furnish within 10 calendar days after the Notice of Award the required number of copies of the Signed Agreement, 100% Performance and Payment Bonds, and begin execution of this contract within 10 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. The City of Concord reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any Bid that it may deem to be in the best interests of the City.
