Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pelham, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to complete the following tasks: 1. Preparation of Site: a. Clean and sweep the entire asphalt surface to remove all loose debris, dirt, and vegetation. b. Remove any failed or damaged pavement sections and properly prepare damaged areas prior to overlay. c. Apply tack coat (asphalt emulsion) to all existing asphalt surfaces to ensure proper bonding of overlay. 2. Paving Work: a. Install a 1.0" to 1.5" hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay across the entire parking area. b. Ensure proper grading and slope to promote water drainage away from buildings and pedestrian areas. c. Compact overlay with appropriate rollers to meet industry and local specifications. 3. Line Striping: a. Re-stripe all existing parking stalls, accessible spaces, fire lanes, directional arrows, and other markings to match current layout unless directed otherwise. b. Use traffic-grade paint in accordance with applicable standards and ADA requirements. 4. Traffic Control and Site Access: a. Provide necessary signage, barricades, and flagging to safely direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic during construction. b. Coordinate work schedule with the Town to minimize disruption to municipal operations. 5. Final Cleanup: a. Remove all construction debris, equipment, and materials from the site. b. Leave the work area clean and free of hazards. The Town reserves the right to reject all bids or any portion of any bid or waive any bid informally deemed in the best interest of the Town of Pelham, NH. Question Deadline 07/01/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the OWNER in writing. . Questions received less than 6 days prior to the date of opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. LOCATION OF WORK The work herein specified is located at the rear of the Town Hall in Pelham, NH; specifically all the paved parking area beginning from the rear Town Hall entrance on Marsh Road including the rear "cruiser" parking of the Pelham Police Department up to the edge of the "new" pavement of the Animal Control Shelter Parking lot, to include the short pedestrian walkway away from the entrance of Lyons Park.
