This Request for Proposal ("RFP") identifies a business opportunity for the successful proponent to provide marine construction services to improve the structural and electrical components of the berth at Otter Bay ferry terminal. The general requirements of the Scope of Work includes: Life extension of the vehicle ramp, including replacing the ramp decking, steel truss reinforcement, ramp hinges, handrail system & cable tray, coatings, and a steel plate repair. Life extension of the ramp and apron hoist systems, as required. Life extension of the apron, including replacing the apron hinges, fingers and coatings, as required. Life extension of the ramp towers, including installing pile jacket repairs to bearing piles, steel cross bracing to pile jackets, removing weight from existing counterweights, repairing counterweight guides, removing redundant angle braces from tower piles and replacing coatings, as required. Life extension of the wingwalls, including replacing rubber cone fenders, coatings and a connection plate repair. Life extension of the floating leads, including replacing anchor chains, anodes and coatings, as required. Life extension of the electrical berth components, including replacing the existing distribution equipment, electrical kiosk & ancillary components, as required, and berth lighting improvements.
